“It’s hard for me sometimes with my family living so far away. When I’m overwhelmed, I can’t go visit my mother, or someone else in my family, that might be able to help so I can get a moment of rest to myself.”

This mom has been a part of B.A.B.E.S., Inc. since July of 2013, ever since her oldest was just two years old. With no one nearby to rely on, she turned to B.A.B.E.S. to provide Respite Care so she can enjoy some time to herself and alleviate any stress she may have.

She says, “B.A.B.E.S. has been there for my children and me in so many ways. I can never say thank you enough. I’m so grateful to have someone to turn to when I need some time to myself. B.A.B.E.S. is so understanding, compassionate and caring. The atmosphere is so warm and kind. You can tell how much the staff cares for those involved in this program.”

B.A.B.E.S. also provides care packages that include toilet paper, shampoo, feminine care, laundry detergent, etc. “I’ve counted out change before, hoping that I would have enough gas to pick up my children from school. I am grateful to have some extra resources and help when I really need it.”
